My Portfolio
Welcome to my portfolio. Here you’ll find a selection of my work. Explore my projects to learn more about what I do.

I painted a colorful geometric heart. I sketched out the lines and then painted different sections inside the heart with cool or warm colors, and on the outside I put the opposite of the colors so it would look good together. I painted it with a flat paintbrush then went over my mistakes with a smaller one to smooth it out. My goal was to make it look clean and colorful. This project did help me reach my goals and I learned a lot from this project like what tool to use for different techniques.

I used a technique called paper marbling to create this. I chose the colors pink, yellow, and orange because it reminds me of summer sunsets and they're warm colors so they go good together.
First I used a technique using a candle under the paper to give it a smoky effect, then I used a white colored pencil to draw the mandela over it, and then I used blue, pink, yellow, purple, and teal over it to make it colorful.

Its supposed to be a heart but the veins I did using a technique called ink blowing. Then I painted around it with watercolor.

This is a painting of my grandma's house in Elgin. It is for the dream and nightmare theme because I had a dream about being on her front porch. I first painted the roof and the concrete and just painted the wooden pillars over it. For the grass I used a new technique by putting my paintbrush back and forth to make it look like that texture without it taking long.

This is a Christmas ornament that I painted for the "anything but a canvas" project. I first painted the whole thing pink multiple times to make it even, and then used white paint to dab on the clouds after it dried.

This is a painting of 2 spiders on a spider web for the beyond the border project. I chose to paint these tarantulas because they're my favorite type of spiders and they represent a need for patience. I first sketched the spiders and the spider web behind them. I outlined everything in sharpie and started painting the spiders black, orange, and light brown. After, I added blue/ turquoise to the background to make the orange color look better.

This is a painting of some street signs near my house. The top sign "Peach Vista" is my bestfriend, Nevaeh's, street, and the bottom sign is my street. Walking on these streets brings a lot of memories from when I was younger and even recent ones. I first sketched the sign and then I cut it up with lines to include the cubism theme. Then I painted the sky behind it different shades of blue. Then I painted the stop sign red and added the gray edges. Through the whole process I went over the words in white a few times. I then painted the street name signs green, and then finally colored in the clouds with gray and white.
